Two Injuries Reported after Solo-Vehicle Accident near Haugen-Lehmann WayWHITEWATER, CA (August 2, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 10 off-ramp left Samuel Stocker dead and two other passengers hospitalized.The incident happened on July 14th, at around 2:36 p.m., in the eastbound lanes of Interstate ten, at the Haugen-Lehmann Way exit.Based on the initial investigation, a 2003 white Honda Pilot sped across several lanes to get to an offramp. The Honda then lost control struck a rock in a dirt embankment, and overturned. The vehicle was then stopped when it struck a light pole.As a result of the collision, three occupants of the Honda were ejected from the vehicle.Responding emergency personnel declared the driver of the Honda dead at the scene. 30-Year-Old Speeding Rider Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Crash near South B StreetMOSES LAKE, WA (August 2, 2023) – Monday morning, Celton Kimmel was killed in a speeding motorcycle collision on West Broadway.Police responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m., at the 1100 block of West Broadway near South B Street on July 31st.Officers say Kimmel was heading west on a motorcycle while veering in and out of traffic lanes at a high rate of speed. Meanwhile, a woman driving a Subaru was pulling out of a business onto West Broadway.There, the two vehicles collided. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported 30-year-old Kimmel to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.Meanwhile, the 65-year-old Subaru driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Three-Wheeled Motorcycle Crash near Selena Lane Kills 68-Year-Old ManLAKESIDE, CA (August 2, 2023) – Monday evening, a three-wheel motorcycle crash on Serena Road claimed the life of Richard Taylor and left a 2-year-old child injured.The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. along the eastbound Serena Road, just west of Selena Lane.According to the investigators, a three-wheel 1984 red Honda 250SX missed a curve while traveling east along the roadway.Consequently, the motorcycle went off the road and ejected the two occupants. Police said neither of the two occupants was wearing protective gear.Responding CHP officers declared the male rider dead at the scene. Driver Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Collision near Vicksburg AvenueOAKLAND, CA (August 2, 2023) – Authorities arrested Santu Maya a month after a hit-and-run crash on Football Boulevard.The incident occurred near Vicksburg Avenue on Friday, June 16th.Per reports, the driver of a black Mercedes-Benz struck Maya who was crossing the street within a marked crosswalk. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.Medical personnel arrived and transported 58-year-old Maya to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.Authorities managed to arrest the suspect nearly a month after the incident in the Fairfax neighborhood in East Oakland.
