TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A new Dunkin' location opened its doors in Troy on Thursday. Officials said it would offer a faster drive-thru experience, a new area dedicated to online order pickups, and improved energy efficiency. ST. LOUIS - Nolan Arenado sparked a late comeback attempt with a two-run, eighth inning double, before the Blue Jays spoiled Opening Day with a two-run rally in the ninth. For his final one as a player, he drew an assignment he has never had for a St. Louis Cardinals home opener. Wainwright landed on the injured list last week, so he couldn't pitch in the home opener. Five people were arrested on numerous weapons and narcotics charges on Wednesday afternoon after authorities surveilled a residence in Fillmore. “Detectives conducted surveillance operations and witnessed activity at the residence that was consistent with possible narcotics trafficking,” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. Authorities stopped Jayden Mercado, 25, of Santa Paula after he was observed arriving at the residence and leaving shortly afterwards, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Mercado was initially arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, and a further search of his vehicle found a loaded short-barreled .22 caliber rifle with ammunition, drug paraphernalia, fentanyl and methamphetamine. Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect that left a man dead in Long Beach in February.On Feb. 19, Long Beach officers found a man lying on the road near the area of Pacific Coast Highway between Pasadena Avenue and Linden Avenue around 6:30 p.m.Investigators said the victim was crossing PCH when he was struck by a vehicle. The suspect driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene, police said.Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital with what “appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries at the time,” officials said. While hospitalized, the victim’s condition began to deteriorate and he later died on March 24. A man accused of fatally shooting another man in Venice over the weekend has turned himself in to authorities, police said Thursday.The shooting was reported around 6 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Indiana Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.At the scene, responding officers found a man in his 50s who had been shot. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The suspect had fled the area by the time first responders arrived, police said.“The incident was determined to be a family violence situation involving adults that did not reside at the location,” police said in a news release without elaborating.The suspect, Donald Ray Boyce, turned himself in to police two days later.The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office later charged Boyce, 57, of Los Angeles, with murder, police said.No further details about the incident have been released.GOP leaders, Trump loyalists rally behind indicted ex-president
