Kosovo says it is founding an institute to document Serbia’s crimes in the 1998-1999 war PRISTINA, Kosovo (AP) — Kosovo is founding an institute to document Serbia’s crimes against its population in the 1998-1999 war, the country’s prime minister said Wednesday.Albin Kurti said the institute would document the war crimes so “the Kosovar Albanians’ tragic history suffered at the hands of criminal Serbia is more widely known.”The war between Serbia and Kosovo killed more than 10,000 people, mostly Kosovo Albanians. It ended after a 78-day NATO bombing campaign that compelled Serbian forces to withdraw from Kosovo.Kosovo declared independence in 2008 — a move Belgrade refuses to recognize.“Wounds are still fresh,” said Kurti, adding that more than 1,600 bodies are still missing. ISP: Driver killed after man leading police pursuit crosses center-line in Northwest Indiana PORTER COUNTY, Ind. — A driver was killed after a man leading authorities on a pursuit crossed a center-line Tuesday in Northwest Indiana, police said.Officers received an alert at around 1:30 that a stolen 2022 Toyota Rav 4 was traveling on Route 12. While traveling to check the area, Porter County police said the vehicle passed them westbound.A police pursuit was initiated on Route 12 that lasted for about two minutes, police said. During the pursuit, the driver, later identified as Martell Harper, 37, allegedly crossed the center of the roadway and struck a white 2003 Pontiac Vibe.The driver of the Pontiac, a man, died as a result of the collision.Harper was arrested at the scene and transported to an area hospital. Later in the evening, he was transported to Porter County Jail. Giant screen installed as construction on Navy Pier flying attraction continue CHICAGO — We have an update on the new attraction being built at Navy Pier in the space of the former IMAX theater.In April, crews began to gut the space to make way for FlyOver Chicago, a flying attraction that will take you on a journey through Chicago using a giant spherical movie screen. It's similar to the ride Soarin’ at Epcot at Walt Disney World.
