But a net loss of more than 217,000 people was recorded as people left the state to move elsewhere. More than half of California's 58 counties lost population during that timeframe. Many of the counties seeing a reduction in population are in Southern California and the Bay Area; two regions in the state that experience some of the highest costs of living i...Man fatally shot outside 7-Eleven in Culver City

Anastasia Elliot Goes to the Circus: DIY rocker Anastasia Elliot told us about her Britney Spears experience.Anastasia Elliot: I have seen lots of amazing concerts over the years from Idles to the Black Angels to Florence and the Machine and many up and coming indie acts that blew me away.I am going to have to give the best gig I ever saw though to the first concert I ever attended: Britney Spears’ Circus Tour. As a classically trained musician and singer, I could choose many other shows that were maybe more musically or vocally mind blowing, but Circus was a show that impacted me personally at a young age.The extreme attention to detail, set design, costuming, Britney’s command of the stage as an entertainer, and the world building around a concept album are things that greatly inspired my own artistic direction. Growing up attending the opera and the ballet, I have always been obsessed with shows that are grandiose, with no small detail left unpolished. In 2009, when my 15 year old...What Is “Hot Hemp”?

View the original article about “Hot Hemp” at Real Tested CBD.According to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp can be legally grown as long as it contains 0.3 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or less. Once the hemp is grown, it can be turned into gummies, oils, tinctures, creams, honey, and other products. While the Farm Bill made CBD products legal, THC is still against the law. If a plant has too much THC, it must be destroyed by the farmer. What Is Hot Hemp?Since the passage of the Farm Bill, there have been rumors about people selling hot hemp. This term basically refers to hemp that has more than the 0.3 percent limit of THC. For the most part, this rumor is just a myth. While the hemp plant may sometimes have more than 0.3 percent THC, CBD products never do.At Real Tested CBD, we have not encountered any hot hemp across more than 50 brands. We have tested a broad range of CBD tinctures, CBD gummies, CBD capsules, CBD creams, CBD honey, and CBD oils. None of these products have come anyw...Research points to common infections as cause of liver disease outbreak in kids

By Megan DeLaire | CTVNews.ca writerTORONTO (CTV Network) — Scientists think they may have pinpointed the cause of a mysterious outbreak of liver disease that affected children worldwide last year.In a study published Thursday in the scientific journal Nature, researchers from the University of California and the New York State Department of Public Health present new evidence linking the outbreak of hepatitis with adenoviruses – which can cause a range of illnesses including the common cold — and adeno-associated viruses.Last April, scientists and health officials were puzzled when children in the U.K., Spain, Israel, the U.S., Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway and France began suddenly developing severe cases of hepatitis with no known cause. By May, hospitals in Canada were reporting cases of rare pediatric hepatitis, too.By August 2022, clusters of cases were reported in 35 countries. To date, the outbreak has been linked to 1,000 cases of acute pediatri...Nearly 90 million across the US under severe storm threat with potentially violent tornadoes possible

Q: Sadly, there was another speeding tragedy, at Leigh and Blossom Hill. When will this end? Yellow means STOP, if possible, not GO. I’m at Hamilton. Leigh is a racetrack here. I hear it every day. One second is all you get at a light before drivers hit their horn. Relax, y’all, and you and we will live longer, happier lives.Robert Wahler, San JoseA: Yes, yellow means come to a stop, not race through the intersection. As for speeding, a recent study in Seattle showed that lowering speed limits on arterial streets, where a large majority of accidents occur, cut the chance of injury in accidents by 20 percent.“Everybody thinks of highways when we talk about speed limits, but reducing speeds on city thoroughfares and residential streets is just as important,” said Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) president David Harkey.
